Rare stevenr597 Posted January 15, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2018 One of the "free perks" advertised by celebrity is the Classic Beverage Package. Some questions: 1) Are soft drinks included in this package 2) It is stated that you may purchased a cocktail up to $9.00. Are classic cocktails such as Margaritas more expensive than this. 3) If you wish to purchase a more expensive "exotic cocktail" can you pay for the difference. Trying to decide whether to go with the beverage package or the prepaid gratuities. Thanks for the help.
jelayne Posted January 15, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2018 1. Yes 2. Margaritas can be covered by the Classic package. A top shelf margarita would be above the Classic package limit. The brand of alcohol is often determines what is on the Classic vs Premium 3. Yes you can pay the difference. If you order a drink that is $10 you will be charged $1.18 The $1 difference plus the 18% gratuity

Sodas, juices and coffees/espressos/cappucinos are included. 2. Normal cocktails using good (not great) liquor are included. Depending on your ship/bartender, you may get a hassle at the Martini Bar and get a few dollar upcharge (see below). 3. Yes, if it is >$9, you pay the difference plus 18% grat on the difference. helen haywood Posted January 15, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 15, 2018 You will have to do the math to see which is a better fit for you. Keep in mind the Classic Beverage Package covered juices, specialty coffees, bottled water, sodas, wine and alcoholic drinks. It really covers most any drink you could want unless you prefer premium pours in your cocktails. Or for example, if you drank Jack Daniels instead of Jim Beam. JD is on the Premium package but would only cost you $1.18 on the Classic. If you don't think you'd drink enough them pick another perk. Depending on the length of your cruise the $150 per person OBC can come out ahead of the pre-paid grats.

Some questions: 1) Are soft drinks included in this package yes, but only gun soda. Cans are no longer included on the Classic pkg 2) It is stated that you may purchased a cocktail up to $9.00. Are classic cocktails such as Margaritas more expensive than this. I am able to get Patron Margaritas on the classic pkg, so totally happy with that. 3) If you wish to purchase a more expensive "exotic cocktail" can you pay for the difference. Trying to decide whether to go with the beverage package or the prepaid gratuities. if you drink at all, far better deal to take the pkg -all your water/soda/coffee is included as well at your drinks. really cannot go wrong with taking the pkg. Thanks for the help. see above
