Allure Dry Dock Sunday January 21, 2018

I was hoping to start a thread concerning the progress of the dry dock and and any updates. Many of us have upcoming cruises on Allure and I think keeping updated would be useful.

We are on the first cruise following the dry dock, leaving Jan 28. She better be ready!

We were on the 1st cruise after the ship was last taken out of service for a propulsion issue four years ago. I had the same concern as you that the ship had better be ready. But she was, in fact, at the pier when we got there to board. The great thing was there was no waiting to be able to get to the cabins as they were available immediately on boarding and the ship with spotlessly clean.

 

This time we are on the 2nd sailing after the ship's repair so we will be getting on when you're leaving.

Nothing is changing. The ship is being taken out of service to fix a propulsion problem. Well, technically the issue with the propulsion should be going away so guess that is a change.

And perhaps some over and above extra maintenance that isn’t easily done with guests on board.
