DrivesLikeMario Posted January 26, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2018 Completing the Panama Canal on the 10 night cruise on a small boat. Worst tour ever. Affectionately remembered in our family as "the tour from hell".
moki'smommy Posted January 26, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2018 Anything that goes to Nassau Greek Island tour with "George" as tour guide. I don't even remember which island it was, but George became a family joke.
moki'smommy Posted January 26, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 26, 2018 Ours - Panama Canal - 10 day cruise All day excursion to Tulum from Cozumel Just curious since we have the 10 day partial transit booked--why was it so bad?
caribill Posted January 27, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 27, 2018 Completing the Panama Canal on the 10 night cruise on a small boat. Worst tour ever. Affectionately remembered in our family as "the tour from hell". Apparently the tour provider has access to several different boats that are used for this tour. Depending which boat is used, the experience can be great or horrible (no inside air conditioning, poor food, lack of water). As a result, there are posts ranging from "greatest excursion ever" to "worst tour ever," depending on the boat provided.
voljeep Posted January 27, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted January 27, 2018 Just curious since we have the 10 day partial transit booked--why was it so bad? Neither were bad - enjoyed both, just not enough to book them again. Alaska or the Southern Caribbean , esp Bonaire  would go as often as possible.. beg3yrs Posted January 27, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 27, 2018 Panama Canal and Hawaii. Got to agree here. Panama Canal was pretty cool the first time. The second time it was part of a cruise around South America so OK, we're going a different direction as well. The third time (yet to be done) is also part of a larger journey but we'll at least see the new locks in operation. Hawaii was nice too but with so many days required to get there and back, and then a bunch of hit-and-run island visits, unless it too were part of a larger journey, I wouldn't do it again on a cruise. If this is your upcoming Pacific Princess cruise, the ship will not be using the new locks.

Thrak Posted January 28, 2018 #11 Share Posted January 28, 2018 Two Dollar Beach ($5) in Pago Pago. Crowded. Very poor beach. Broken glass. Not good for swimming. A total disappointment. We wouldn't do this again unless we were paid to do so and even then it would have to be a pretty good sum.

I said see, not go through. Unless of course the Canal Authority decides differently ...
