SirRedman Posted February 10, 2018 #26 Share Posted February 10, 2018 So since I am paying for the drink package but still want to sit in peace and quiet on my balcony with my croissants and beverages.... can I go somewhere on the ship to get the mimosas and or bloody marys and bring them back to my cabin? If so, what venues are open that early to get them from? I just do not want to pay for drinks twice. I'm with you! I've been told that the Windjammer has a bar up front, but not sure what time it opens (hopefully early!)
Johnkut Posted February 11, 2018 #27 Share Posted February 11, 2018 Has anybody ordered the steaks and cheese, or the wings? How were they?
Papaglejo Posted February 11, 2018 #28 Share Posted February 11, 2018 Someone’s said it was $7.95 for as much as you want to order. Is that per person in the room or can I order enough for two people and be charged only $7.95?
pearlie Posted February 11, 2018 #29 Share Posted February 11, 2018 Wow, didn't realize that. Just off Anthem. We were shocked too $9.38 for hot breakfast. It was not the case in Oct.

SRF Posted February 11, 2018 #32 Share Posted February 11, 2018 Thanks for the info. Just curious about the extra tipping when the gratuity for a drink is already added... Are you talking like a dollar a drink or more? I hate being cheap and like to tip well, but ya know hubby will think otherwise haha. I will tip if the service is above and beyond. Last cruise, a couple of times I tipped $5 cash at the pool bar. They took really good care of us. At the pool car, tips went into a bucket at the back of the bar. IMO, this came about due to people ordering a couple of cookies for a late night snack from room service.
SRF Posted February 11, 2018 #34 Share Posted February 11, 2018 Just off Anthem. We were shocked too $9.38 for hot breakfast. It was not the case in Oct. It was in effect in August on our cruise on Grandeur. If you are in a GS of higher, there is no charge.
Biker19 Posted February 13, 2018 #35 Share Posted February 13, 2018 You can order as much as you want. $9.38 is the final cost. Unless you order the New York cheesecake or the grilled salmon, which are an additional $7.95 each.

grandmarnnurse Posted February 19, 2018 #37 Share Posted February 19, 2018 wow! When did this happen! We enjoyed having our breakfast on the balcony :( You can still order Continental breakfast for free, or if you want a hot breakfast, it’s just the one charge/service fee for as much as you want to order. RCCL has had this service charge in place for about a year, and NCL much longer.

The new hot breakfasts are much better and worth the small charge to be able to relax on your balcony with your breakfast in your pyjamas or dressing gown rather than rushing to get ready to go to the restaurant. 11madmic Posted February 19, 2018 #40 Share Posted February 19, 2018 Has anybody ordered the steaks and cheese, or the wings? How were they? Wings were really bad, almost inedible. ordered buffalo and got a ketchup based sauce.
