Rare levonfan Posted March 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2018 We are currently in rooms on deck 10 but in the aft, right next to suite. Since prices have gone down we can't get refund but can upgrade to room with large balcony It would be on deck 8 .Question is that deck plan shows the restaurants right next to rooms. How does this work? Do you see them or is it just a wall? Do you smell food the entire time in your room?? Any benefits in this move our just stay where we are Thanks!! Merion_Mom Posted March 2, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2018 You are not actually really near the restaurants. Deck 8 is a fan favorite location. :)
Norwich Cruiser Posted March 2, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2018 I am fairly confident you would have no issues at all with restaurants and deck eight is our favourite on Oasis class ships.

molly361 Posted March 2, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 2, 2018 We had a cabin right behind the Park Cafe and you would not have known that there was a restaurant on the other side of the wall Sent from my BG2-W09 using Forums mobile app
cb at sea Posted March 2, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 2, 2018 If you look at the deck plans, you'll see all the "public" areas are in the center....the cabins are on the outside of the ship and the hallway is only open to the inside at the stairs and elevators. It's not as if you open your door and see the backside of those restaurants and other places! All you see is a hallway, stretching as far as you can see! dwayneb236 Posted March 2, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 2, 2018 Deck 8 was very quiet, no smells. We were right above souvenir shop.
Hokie79 Posted March 2, 2018 #8 Share Posted March 2, 2018 We stayed in deck 8 JS room 8230. According to the deck plan the restaurants were on the other side of the hall. There were no entrances though on this side that we could see. Room was very quiet and conveniently located. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
