Help me Understand!!

Do I understand this correctly?? If I were to book a cruise under the current “sale” and choose my cabin etc. then when another “sale” comes along, I can cancel my booking and rebook to the current sale. I understand that I would loose the previous “sale” options and then have the current “sale” perks, Is this correct??:confused:

Since you live in the US then the answer is Yes. Those in other countries face different options.

Just be careful of the deposit requirements. Some are non refundable.

Also, you would need to do this before final payment. After that some or all of the amount you paid is not refundable.

You can call Princess or your TA to refare the cruise. To refare you mighy lose any perks you got with the original booking. This way you don't have to cancel and rebook.

Since you’re creating a new booking, you also lose anything related to the previous booking such as dining preference, booked tours, restaurant and/or spa reservations, etc.

With Princess they can refer your cruise to the lower price without losing everything that is booked. This where having a good Personal Vacation Planner at Princess comes in.

Be aware: if you cancel and rebook, everything gets cancelled ... your selected cabin, specialty dining, MDR sesting shorex, etc. You may not be able to get back your cabin or MDR seating. A gamble if you really liked what you had.

 

As posted above, you will tradeout your old perks for new ... do the math to see if it makes sense to move to a new promo.

In my understanding this is only possible if specific cabins in your category are still available.

If balcony prices fall and all specific cabins sold (so guarantees only left) you cannot get your price lowered on your preselected cabin. You could only cancel your cabin and get a guarantee.

I’ve had Princess just refare my reservation and keep the same cabin. I did lose the perks on the booking. I’ve even had cruises refare five days after final payment.

I had a re-fare 5 days before "SAILING"

 

got my credit back to my card during our cruise...

 

granted, this was during the whole ***** fiasco, and a Caribbean ( western ) after the hurricanes had hit the east islands

 

just made a call...and voila!:cool:
