Staying at Embassy Suites 17th St. on June 30th. Are there any good Restaurants within a short waling distance of hotel.

Additionally, looking at something like Google Maps, you can see easily a dozen restaurants within half or 3/4s of a mile of the Embassy Suites.

If you like sushi, then go to Phat Boy Sushi Bar & Kitchen. It is a short Uber ride away, just south of the tunnel on Federal Hwy & SW 7th St. This is their second location, and it just opened a few weeks ago.

15th Street Fisheries is the way to go!!!! Grew view and food dockside!! Have a Lauderdale Marina Salad and Mojito!!! Enjoy!!

Gilbert's 17th st Grill. Very close by, 5 mins walk away. Great burgers, of all kinds, beef, seafood and vegetarian, plus more. Casual restaurant. You order at the counter and they bring it to you at your table. Friendly service. Lots of decent restaurants nearby Embassy Suites.

I took a look of Quarterdeck's menu and found they have a good selection of sushi. Do they actually make those on the premise? Don't plan to order any there, just curious.

Yes, they make on premise. You should try Quarterdeck some day, notably the Dania location which is right on the pier. As soon as you walk in, sushi chefs are right there.
