Booked casino rate

Until recently I always used a PVP. However, she is out of the office a lot and I never really noticed an advantage of booking with her. She didn't seem to give me any more or better information than what I could find on the website and I don't feel like she went above and beyond to help me out.

If I booked a casino rate do I need to communicate with the casino or Carnival?

Can someone give me the number to the Carnival casino department? The rate for the PTF offer I have is less than what I booked. I'm going to see if they will price match.

Sure, here it is, from my VIFP page offers:

CASINO LINE: 1-866-299-5859 or Contact your Travel Agent

Either, but I would suggest your PVP as this keeps them involved in all your cruises. The casino dept. is only concerned with their offers!

ps not happy with your PVP, get another until you get one you're happy with.

Where can I find a verification that I booked under a casino rate, and that I am to receive casino cash? I can’t see that info on my invoice. The Paradise cruise is still being offered with a casino rate, but the Conquest on December 16 has not been on the list since shortly after I booked it. What can I print out to prove I am supposed to receive casino cash?

I've gotten a price drop 4 times so far on my casino rate for my cruise next May. But this 4th time ccl tried to say price drops were only for early saver and they aren't supposed to give it to me. But they did anyways.

Who did you speak with? Was it your PVP, the casino, or just a call to Carnival?

They would be wrong. You can get price drops with almost every rate up until final payment. It’s only after final payment that you can’t unless you’re booked Early Saver. They tried pulling that stunt on me before too. Another reason to use a PVP.

yea the ccl rep was wrong. my TA called both her ccl rep and the casino rate rep and both said yes reductions are allowed till final payment. although their online guidelines are not real clear and say early saver only.

so here is my dilemma. I have two offers for me, one has $50 OBC, and the other says I get FunPlay chips but doesn't say how much. I have never had the FunPlay before so I have no idea what they will give me, but I am not a big player so I doubt it will be much. I have emailed the casino@carnival.com to inquire but have not heard back.

What is your experience wth FunPlay chips? Worth the chance of guaranteed $50 OBC?

Found out fun chips have rules on their use, IE nothing in the middle, no on odds bet use. so Id take cash so I can bet as I want unless funchips were at least $100. Leaving on Paradise in 3 days with fun chip offer so will give a quick report when home

if you call Carnival, they will give you the rate on each promotion and also what OBC or what chips you would get. From there you can decide what is the best value. Personally I feel I never win with the funplay chips but you may :) I think the most I have received was $150, They can be a pain to use but it is free money so...
