Towel Animals....Yea or Nay?

I m 60yo and I love towel animals!! I am very disappointed when I don't get them. The tip I leave is more if I get them. I have learned how to make a few and from time to time I will leave them in our room. I do keep each one we get all cruise.

Oh ... that's encouraging. Thank you! I asked on the Princess board and was told emphatically ... NO. I think I'll ask my steward if they would do it for me.

Maybe they will with a few $$$ in the hand. I think that is why we got them but I also told them that I didn't want them. Go figure.

We love the whimsy. They bring a smile to our faces when we come back to the cabin in the evenings and find them waiting, lovingly, just for us.

We do the same. Why need to waste time doing them for us when others will enjoy them. ;)

That is normal - you can also tell the steward to leave each one and take a group photo later like BirdTravels did

about 15 posts ago.

On some cruises with a SEA day there is a demonstration in the Main Atrium or other venue about how these are

made and audience participation is welcomed.

We have long lost any feelings of thrill from towel animals at turn-down. Does anybody else tell their steward to not bother with them? I'd much rather that they get an additional couple of minutes back.

 

I rather have an extra towel.

I still look forward every night and take a picture. On our 20th anniversary cruise they made a swan and a heart!

I enjoy getting them, it doesn't get old. I would be disappointed if they stopped making them. I also like when they let me keep them for the whole cruise. My last cruise I had 11 of them.

You can have extra towels - just ask - you no like animals towels - just say so.

 

In any event it all comes out in the wash (laundry) and another day brings a different animal.

As a fairly new cruiser (coming up to my third cruise) I love them! I could see how someone who cruises frequently might feel ho-hum about them, but that isn't me (yet)!

I am nearing platinum plus on NCL and still love the towel creatures. I'm 70 and I hope I never grow up to the point where I don't enjoy them.

While I like them, I definitely don't need them. I never thought of telling the steward not to bother though.

 

It's just not a big deal to me.
