Bellair Posted June 26, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted June 26, 2018 ROCK SOLID! Did you use a tripod for the videos? Thank you for viewing....it took me 4 days to edit on Final Cut X. I used a DJI Osmo gimbal which is 'Rock Steady' for a lot of the filming & panning shots. Getting up at sometime 4am as its daylight at 3:30am, was hard but exciting to get the right footage for entry into some ports. Wait til you see the Baltic footage!! naskeag Posted June 27, 2018 #17 Share Posted June 27, 2018 So glad you enjoyed the video I am finalizing part two of the Baltic and will post to Youtube next week Regards Sent from my iPhone using Forums Terrific video Bellair and thanks for posting. Can you tell me what you used to record? My plans are to pack an obsolete 4 pound DSLR Nikon, but a friend just used an iPhone and captured keepsake videos like yours. We will be on the Zuiderdm next week after it returns from the Baltic.
Bellair Posted June 28, 2018 Author #18 Share Posted June 28, 2018 (edited) G'day there, I have a pro video camera that I have used for documentaries & news gathering.....but....now I only take an iPhone 6 plus and record on High Definition with a DJI Osmo Gimbal that allows steady shots. It also has a tracking device that will track a subject and gives very smooth footage. Because I have been filming for a long time, I take more shots from different angles than i need, choosing the best footage at post production on Final Cut X. The hardest part is the music choice to suit the scenes. Watch out for the Baltic 10 Day video which should be posted to youtube and the link here in the next few days...especially look for the Swedish Archipelago .
