We are booked on the Escape / Bermuda cruise from NYC. We always check in as Casino at Sea guests but we are also Platinum Plus Latitudes level. Is there a benefit to check in at the Latitudes Priority desk?

I appreciate your input....

Pick the shortest line.

Last month we went out of NYC. Ended up in Platinum line and got Boarding Group 1 and a special area to hang out. Looked like Haven and ADA went before us only. Didn’t see a move on the CAS group.

Casino guests will board before Group 1. They are suppose to board before platinum.

Thanks. I remember receiving the Group 1 card when we checked in with CAS. I will double-check at the port. Thanks for your response and guidance - appreciate your help!

We have had some experiences where they were BOTH in the same line! So I would just go to the Priority lines and see which one looks the shortest.

If you board in Miami and are on a CAS sailing do they just give you a group 1 pass or is there nothing in Miami?

No priority boarding in Miami for CAS. Just check in. I agree with everyone else. We're platinum plus and CAS. We just go to the shortest check-in line.

We usually arrived between 10 to 10:30 to check in and find the wait for Platinum to be shorter for check in, plus #1 card for boarding ... following Special Needs seated across from our roped off section. Our friends that are CAS get #3 & higher, they followed us shortly and waited in a bigger area on the opposite side. Apparently on the Gem, they had like 15% or more CAS booking. This has been true on at least all 4 NY sailings in the last 2 years, it used to be CAS first. Things could change, YMMV.

When turnaround was on schedule, we got on deck by 11:15 and we're in the MDR by 11:30 away from the herd.

I've heard that NCL does whatever it takes to get you in front of the slot machines as fast as humanly possible. plus the casino line would most likely be shorter de to the fact of less gamblers with a high status..

good luck!!

I agree with you, but the casinos don't open until after the ship leaves. ;)

You can get gamblers in front of machines, but the casino does not open for about 7-8 hours after embarkation.

Gamblers don't necessarily have high status, many casino guests are onboard because they got a free cruise certificate from their local land-based casino.
