Not sure if any of you are golf fans...........The Masters is on this weekend. It is usually on

in April (first Major of the season every year) but because of that lovely virus it got postponed.

It is really odd seeing it being played in November but happy to see it none the less!😀

Lois, unlike some sports, they are not piping in crowd noises and showing previous azaleas! :classic_laugh:

Golf has had little to no fans at all.......and yes, the lack of azaleas is a BIG difference for sure!

Totally agree Lois....having been fortunate to go to the Masters twice the colours are the main difference particularly the missing azaleas which normally provide a colourful background to Amen corner.Augusta still looks fabulous and with leaders about to tee off will be glued to the TV for remainder of today as it should end mid evening in UK.Great memories!

Spins and Stumbles, this is your wake up call.  Know you were both up late but there's a new day dawning out there!

Changing gears, has anyone ever visited Samoa?  Dreaming a bit, but eventually we will be traveling again.

Yes.  We have been there two times and found it quite interesting.

WOW.....that must be an excellent appliance😀

We still have our KitchenAid after 26 years.  Speaking of new appliances, we decided to downsize our number of vehicles and traded Bob’s truck and my sports car for a new truck.  It is wonderful to have more room in the garage, and real 4 wheel drive will be nice.

An interesting story (or not) Back in the late 60's we were stationed in Okinawa (Larry was flying missions to Nam) We decided we really needed to go skiing, so we went Space Available Naha to Honolulu to New Zealand and skied awhile (hey flts were free but not exactly comfortable, we were young) On the way back to Honolulu the plane had an engine problem and we stopped in Pago Pago to wait for parts to be flown in. There were 3 military couples, a dentist, a chaplain and us (sounds like the start of a bad joke) anyhow the only hotel at the time was an Intercontinental which was sold out, so we all just sat in the lobby and put jackets over our heads. After the last flt came in the hotel decided they could find 2 extra rooms, so we did "dorm style" 3 women in 1, 3 men in the other. There was also a small USO troop on board that they housed at the small military base. They put on a show for us the next night, and they invited some locals to see it also. They happened to own a little night club on the beach and invited us all over to see their show and have dinner the next night. The whole family and relatives did the show with a pet pig walking around the tables. The day before the 6 of us rented a little car to drive around the island, we got a flat tire and someone stopped to help, turns out if was the sheriff who owned the car and had been following us in case of a problem. The next day the parts came in and we were able to go back to HNL then Naha.

Great story.  The IC was a legendary South Pacific hotel called The Rainmaker which went to seed in the 1980s.  Here's a shot I took of it about ten years ago -
