Cruise Starting in Hong Kong

We are starting a cruise in Hong Kong, and the ship is leaving at 11:00 PM. As part of HAL’s Signature experience we have included transfers from out hotel.

 

My question is can we just let HAL take our luggage to the ship and stay longer in Hong Kong as I have heard the area where the ship docks is far away from everything.

 

Also how late can we then check in.?

They should give you directions when you need to be on board. The life boat drill will probably be around 7 or 8, but could be sooner.

If you let them know that you'll be checking in at 9:00pm, that should be no problem, the front desk is open all night and your drill will be next morning at 8:30am.

When we checked into our Hong Kong hotel last March, there was a HAL representative at a table downstairs. That person could tell you the options for luggage and check in times. Good luck !

As I stated in my original post, I believe where the ship is docked is pretty far away from everything. So I’m hoping to check in as late as possible
