Bamboo Room Question: Bowls for sharing with Deluxe Beverage package

 Share

Hi all! We’re heading out on the Mariner next month and had a question about the “Bowls for sharing” option on the drink menu in the Bamboo Room. The menu says the bowls are $35 and serve 2-3. If we are a group of 2-3 people who all have the deluxe beverage package - are we able to combine our cards to cover a bowl - or do we only get $13 off and have to pay the remaining $22? I would assume we couldn’t combine - just odd that the menu nor drink package FAQs cover it.

Side note - the drink package FAQs say sharing drinks purchased from the drink package is strictly prohibited. Does that mean we could potentially get into trouble for sharing a “bowl for sharing” if we purchased one with the drink package?

Worst case I’m assuming we can each pay for an indivual drink and they can just throw it in a giant bowl instead of three individual glasses - just wasn’t sure if they had worked out a policy for this specific case yet.

All you can do is ask. I imagine it may depend on the waiter, but if it were me I'd ring up 3 separate drinks and serve it as one bowl. Keep the customer happy=better tips. Not costing RCI anything that way.

Why would you think your drink package covers a non-drink item???

The shareable bowl is an alcoholic beverage meant for 2-3 persons served exclusively in the bamboo room. It’s on the drink menu someone posted on here awhile back.

Also curious, I will stay tuned! This is a classic tiki option. I work at a classic tiki bar and we have a few sharable drinks, often times served in some sort of fancy tiki bowl. They do have a minimum person requirement to order. So when it says, 2-3, we cannot serve it to one and when it says 4-5, we can't serve it to just 2. So I'm thinking the same logic would apply here (as far as amount of alcohol in the drink itself) but I would love to know how they handle it with the drink package.

I found the menu and it seems that, there are no special shareable drinks. They can make a couple specialty drinks into bowls, so I would say it doesn't make sense to share if everyone has the package. Just each get one yourself. Seems more like an option for people without a package. Here is the menu for anyone interested: https://eatsleepcruise.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/BambooRoom_1.jpg

I imagine because of the "fun" factor
