Hi Everyone - Planning our next family cruise and choosing between the Carnival Magic and Allure of the Seas. Seems like we should try Allure of the Seas since we have never been on that cruise ship before. But, had such a great time on our last Carnival Magic cruise and want to ensure we are making the right decision. Allure of the Seas seems amazing, but I'm concerned about the number of passengers/crowds. If anyone has been on both, would appreciate your recommendation!! Thanks so much.

Can't help you with Carnival but will say that there are no other ships like those of the RCI Oasis class ships, of which Allure is one. You should experience it for yourself to see the differences but there are numerous unique venues that would appeal to most everyone.

The ship is not crowded in spite of the large passenger load as a result of the many different venues and places on board that balance the load. We have been on at least one of every ship class with RCI (except Quantum) and have felt more crowded on many of the smaller ships than on Allure.

I would strongly suggest giving Allure a try.

Go Allure. Amazing ship. Carnival has nothing like it. And if you're concerning about crowds, don't be. You can't just look at passenger numbers. You have to consider the size of the ship and the space-to-passenger ratio. Allure is a less crowded ship than Magic.
