Rare cruisegal40 Posted September 13, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2018 got a call from my TA. We can upgrade from a spa mini to an H6 for $45.00. Should I go for it?
bww11 Posted September 13, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 13, 2018 Yes that is a no brainer! The aft penthouse is wonderful, large balcony, plus haven access.... You can always try the Haven and if you feel you need the spa, the pass can be purchased on board.
Starry Eyes Posted September 13, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 13, 2018 Personally, I would. H6 is a nice suite. Spa access is not that important to me. If important to you even when in a suite, you must factor in cost of paying for spa access.
anonmom Posted September 13, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 13, 2018 $45??? I've never paid for an upgrade, but at that price I *definitely* would. It would be worth it just for the priority embarkation and disembarkation (on port days). If you don't have kids, I would also pay the extra $150 each or whatever and get the spa pass. Rare cruisegal40 Posted September 13, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted September 13, 2018 We have never used the spa. Just got the free upgrade so figured I would take it. We are looking into going to deck 11. Back corner.
Two Wheels Only Posted September 13, 2018 #7 Share Posted September 13, 2018 Take the H6 even if it was $450 instead of $45.

Norovirus595 Posted September 13, 2018 #9 Share Posted September 13, 2018 45 bucks for a Haven upgrade? You'd be insane not to take it.

Rare ColeThornton Posted September 13, 2018 #12 Share Posted September 13, 2018 If that category includes butler and concierge service remember they aren't included in the DSC pool so you would need to budget extra. Sounds like a great deal regardless.
RickinNYC Posted September 13, 2018 #13 Share Posted September 13, 2018 We've sailed in both a spa balcony a couple of times, as well as in the Haven a couple of times. I'd pick the Haven every single time. In fact, we're now converts and can't ever imagine sailing in anything less. And at $45, I hope l like hell you said YES! Two Wheels Only Posted September 13, 2018 #14 Share Posted September 13, 2018 If that category includes butler and concierge service remember they aren't included in the DSC pool so you would need to budget extra. Plus, the higher DSC for the suite would apply unless it is already taken care of via promo or pre-paid. Still an amazing deal, though.
Rare cruisegal40 Posted September 13, 2018 Author #15 Share Posted September 13, 2018 So mad right now. TA called back. He missed a couple of zeros. It's 4500.00 not $45.00. Wow how do you mess that up. Very disappointed. Really kind of mad. He also missed out on an M6 for us on Tuesday.

zqvol Posted September 14, 2018 #18 Share Posted September 14, 2018 If you want the spa don't do it. If the spa doesn't matter then take the upgrade.

I figured that out after I read the 1st post I'm actually surprised the posters even remotely thought it was $45 Ccers are usually much more astute .. Two Wheels Only Posted September 14, 2018 #21 Share Posted September 14, 2018 Ccers are usually much more astute .. My thinking was that the travel agent had a last second suite cancellation but had someone willing to pay for the spa mini suite (not the suite). With the sailing in about 24 hours, someone desperately wanted to fill the empty suite. The solution would have been to slide someone in a spa mini suite into the empty suite and sell the now empty spa mini suite.
