right now i feel like a total technological guru. I was able to download the hub app on my old droid turbo ii, so i won't have to take my new google pixel ii xl on land. Also, the internet seems to be working better now!

I got off the tender with only minutes to spare to make my flight. I quickly made my way outside the port facility and found a cab driver. Soon, we were off towards the municipal airport in Belize City.

After I arrived, the guy at the very tiny airport called me a can, AKA: golf cart...

Afterwards, I wandered up towards the main drag called front street. It actually has a name, but that's what everyone calls it. Normally, there are guys cooking lobsters and other stuff on grills right on the side of the road. Right now, I believe is the "slow season" and none of that was going on...

 

Hopefully I wouldn't end up here.

 

 

 

 

There's actually an Israeli falafel place here... I work at an Israeli owned company, so I thought it was interesting...

I'm really enjoying your review. I was supposed to leave on October 13 for my cruise on the Norwegian Bliss, but we had to cancel a couple of weeks ago as my travelling companions mother is ill. This is helping me wait until the next cruise in March. Thanks for an entertaining review. I love the drink pics.

Years ago when I was in Belize a local told me the prisoners are fed lobster. They considered lobster a junk food

So if you ended up in custody, you would eat good but the accommodations might not even be a 1 star.

Ok, I'm in the MDR right now, it's filet mignon night, so guess what I'm having?...

 

I continued my walk about. By this time it was getting hot. And humid. I'm from Atlanta, so I know heat and humidity. One thing that I had not considered when it came to my bug out bag was insect repellent. They have these flys there that are absolutely relentless... They are biting you the second they land on your skin. They are everywhere. If you're in an area where there's wind, they're not as bad, but these flys were out for blood...

 

I happened upon some shade at a coffee house, and went inside. They had a display on the wall with some bug repellent for $20 BZ... ($10 US) I immediately bought a bottle, and went outside to apply it to all exposed areas of my body...

It worked pretty good, not great... These flys were not playing around. I tried to stay in windy areas, but it wasn't always possible. They were like cannibals... It got to the point that I was just trying to find a place where I could stand for five minutes and not get eaten up...
