User Control Panel??

What happened? I was on vacation and now everything has changed... How do I find the User Control Panel??

Click on the down arrow next to your username in the upper right.

It used to be that I could click on User CP and find every thread that I had commented on. It would highlight the ones that had new comments and then I would click on those and be able to see the comments since the last ones I saw. I see some but not everything. For sure the roll calls are there.

Well, I believe that would be in the "Managed Followed Content" but I don't understand how to do that.  Maybe someone else, who's figured it out will chime in here.

The short answer is that it is better to set up a custom Activity Stream with settings that reflect your preferences.

My username is NOT under the magnifying glass.

The only thing under the magnifying glass is 2 1/2 inch of blank space.

 

How can I take a 'picture' of the upper portion of my screen so I can paste here ???

I used "prt sc" button on my laptop.  That copies whatever you've got on the screen.  Then I used the "paste" option to paste it into my post.

 

I'd suggest contacting help@cruisecritic.com to find out why you don't have your username there.  Are you using a desk top or lap top?  Or some other device?

Windows, use the snipping tool pick new rectangle and grab a region you want

 

 

Does your screen say login or log out? If it says login you aren't logged in so you wouldn't see the control panel

I'm on a desktop and when clicked on the three horizontal bars... BINGO !!!

For some reason it is serving up a mobile screen, do you see the same thing if you click here

or maximize you window or drag the right edge over to the right, I see the same thing when not in a full window. You can also press the windows key and up arrow at the same time

Neither of the above suggestions work.

 

So Figure... anyway, it doesn't bother me.

Do you mean that you see the burger (three lines) menu even when your window is maximised and covers the whole of your screen?

How large is your monitor do you know? I think you mentioned it was a surface - I think they are similar in size to an ipad but have more computing capabilities?  That could be why - something of that size would be recognized as a tablet and possibly served in the tablet view

My computer of choice is a DESK-TOP.

I believe it's a Dell 8400.

 

I only use my 'Surface' on-the-road (Vacations, etc.)

 

I'm not concerned about not seeing my username under the Magnifying-Glass.
