Fishcreek Posted November 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 1, 2018 My husband and I have been to Seville, so when we dock at Cadiz on a TA next April, we would like to see some of the White Villages near Cadiz. I am having a difficult time locating a private guide or tour company to work with and who would go to the towns I want to see. Do you have any suggestions? hkto Posted November 2, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2018 Can check this but it's quite pricey. The other option is to hire taxi. https://www.getyourguide.com/cadiz-l428/day-trip-from-cadiz-the-white-towns-of-andalusia-t73916/
Rare VMax1700 Posted November 2, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 2, 2018 Rent a car for the day. The main roads are good.
poss Posted November 2, 2018 #4 Share Posted November 2, 2018 What are the "best" White Villages?
campolady Posted November 3, 2018 #5 Share Posted November 3, 2018 Just our personal opinion - and I'm sure many people will disagree - but we don't think any of the white villages near Cadiz are near as interesting as Cadiz itself.
hkto Posted November 3, 2018 #6 Share Posted November 3, 2018 The closest is Arcos. The most interesting is Ronda but technically is probably not a white village.

LondonTowner Posted November 4, 2018 #8 Share Posted November 4, 2018 There are places you can reach fairly easy from Cadiz by public transport like Jerez, Puerto de Santa Maria, Equestrian Centre or Rota. Otherwise hire a car.

Hi, We are taking a transatlantic in April/ May and have 13 hours in Cádiz. We would appreciate some suggestions. Don’t mind DIY and walking but don’t want to rent a car. First time in the area and are not set on anything particular . TY
hkto Posted November 6, 2018 #10 Share Posted November 6, 2018 With 13 hrs I'd go to Seville. If schedule allows take the bus (TG Comes). Its cheaper and bus station (PRADO SS) is in walking distance to all major tourist sites. If not - train is more frequent. Try for San Bernardo rather than Santa Justa as it's closer. Can take T1 tram (1.40€) tram from there to Alcazar/Cathedral area. Otherwise 25-30 min walk.

thomfam5 Posted November 6, 2018 #12 Share Posted November 6, 2018 Thank you hkto. This sounds like a fun day trip for us.
hkto Posted November 6, 2018 #13 Share Posted November 6, 2018 FYI Always buy RT ticket, much cheaper than 2 OW. This is current bus schedule but it may be different next year. http://www.tgcomes.es/horarios_13.htm Timing for bus or train trip are very close. Train tickets can be bought on Renfe site or vending machine in the station.

I would love to see the horse school and whatever else is in the tour. Looking to share with others if it is available.

Desert Cruizers Posted January 15, 2019 #18 Share Posted January 15, 2019 This was a number of years, but we had a group tour off our Roll Call to the White Villages and really enjoyed the tour. it could have been with Barcelona day tours but again we had a large group so for a smaller group I couldn't suggest anyone.
