_lefty26_ Posted November 16, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2018 Is the pool comfortable enough to enter when cruising in Canada during the springtime? I would assume the pool roof is closed.
Rare Essiesmom Posted November 16, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2018 I would help to know which ship. EM
Rare LHT28 Posted November 16, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2018 a friend was swimming when we were at the arctic circle so I would think Canada would be fine 😉 Depends on your stamina no roof on our pool
cruiseryyc Posted November 16, 2018 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2018 Are you referring to a cruise on the East Coast or West Coast??? I can't imagine a scenario where the pool wouldn't be open for swimming with hopefully the roof open too.
Grandma Dazzles Posted November 16, 2018 #5 Share Posted November 16, 2018 Depends on the ship and if the pool is heated.

Define “springtime” - it can mean March 22 or June 20; also, the ship matters: HAL ships have sliding covers which are only reasonably effective in holding in warmth, while Celebrity and Royal Caribbean ships (to my experience) have much more enclosed, and therefore warmer, covered pools. iancal Posted November 16, 2018 #7 Share Posted November 16, 2018 In Canada we have special winter bathing suits that keep us warm and toasty when we are swimming in springtime.

WisconsinFan Posted November 16, 2018 #10 Share Posted November 16, 2018 As a former Great Lakes life guard (although I think our supervisor was a bit mean) we had to swim in Lake Michigan in May 🙂 Think the pool will be fine. Our kids swam in the outdoor pool on the Oosterdam in Alaska in June....now the folks from Texas thought they had lost their minds........

When it is chilly, the cover is closed and the pool heated. If you would get a really warm day the staff will sometimes partially open the roof. The aft pool will likely not be a popular place on that itienerary :). Hank
