Infinity lines may be caught in Bow Thruster.

This is the point where everyone waits for Miami to decide what to do next.  At the worst, they have lost the use of one of the two bow thrusters (I assume that they can just take the "bad" thruster off-line).

At this point, the only thing passengers are missing is the casino being closed.  Everything else should be pretty normal

Diver 2 just went back in the water so they are still working on it.

Do they have 2 or 3 bow thrusters?  There are three markings for thrusters on the side of the bow.

You are correct...I read wrong...there are three bow thrusters.

They just brought up another short piece of the stuck line.

One of the big problems working on thrusters is that there are large grates on both sides of the thruster propeller which make it very hard to get to something wrapped around or stuck on the blade itself.  I don't envy those divers.

I sure hope they can call in Nassau.....even for a few short hours......otherwise, they'd be in violation of the PVSA.....one of the risks of these ''shorty'' sailings .

I would not want to be the deck hand who calledf the bridge after the ''let go all '' and said '' all lines secured on deck''.....

I beg to differ....A ship cannot sail from a US port, and return to the same port without a stop in a foreign port, ( in this case, the Bahamas, the ever popular cal;l that allows the shorties to operate these types of sailings.

My opinion only.

I think you are right....that small open boat was there to take the line handlers out to the piers....but it just left.  I guess they are going to stay the night in Key West.   Since Nassau is only 280 miles, they can easily make the next port on time if they leave in the morning.

Well....the dock is now deserted......We'll soon find out if they stay put ...or go to high seas...

Even with ''an abundance of caution'' which would lead to taking the thruster off line ( both sides of course....), that ship, azipod-equipped, can sail very safely with two bow thrusters on line.  My opinion.
