I think the OP's point was the survey said "island", which some may interpret as the whole island of Hispaniola, instead of the word "peninsula".

Perhaps private beach would be more appropriate.

The "Island" of Labadee is highlighted by the red location marker................. so yea.

"Private Port" would have been most appropriate I believe.

 

To RCI's defense, it really does feel like a private island to me.  I love Labadee and look forward to it every cruise.  It's an extremely picturesque, relaxing port with a wonderful beach (Columbus) to chill out by and grab the included lunch when you like.

 

The Dragon's Breath Zipline is a plus as well.  Each of our kids have done it as they "graduated" into the allowed height and weight.  An experience that has long lasting memories for us.
