Casino Chip found after departure - Redeemable ??

Recommended Posts

Ok - so, yes - I did it.

After getting home from Harmony of the Seas and doing all of our laundry I found a $100.00 Casino Chip in my swimsuit from the Cruise.  I'm wondering if there is a land based team @ RCL that I can somehow send this to to receive my $100.00 via check (even if there is a fee of sorts to perform the transaction).  Otherwise, I guess I have a very pricey souvenir of my trip.

Any valuable insight appreciated.

Thanks

Also, check with your travel agent to maybe arrange a sale, if you use a local one.

He/she will know all their clients going on RC, or even the Harmony, if the chip is ship specific.

This was going to be my plan if I came home from Cuba with excess CUCs due to odd hours at the terminal currency exchange.

It turns out I booked another Cuba sailing, so I just kept them for future use.

I do not plan on sailing on Harmony again, therefore I could not redeem that way.

I would call Royal because the Harmony chip might be good on other Royal ships, if you plan to go on another Royal in the future.

If you are planning on sailing ANY RC ship again, just wait and take it with you.  I brought 2 $5 chips from Allure to Grandeur with me and just mixed it in with my other chips.  The pit boss didn’t say a word when he saw them.

I will give you what it is worth, S100.  Not looking to make any money of you, I sail on Harmony on January 27th.  Email me if you want what it is worth.  donnyandkara@msn.com

In 2010 I inadvertently walked off the Liberty of the Seas with a $100 chip. I called RCI at the time and they basically said, "We used to let passengers mail them to HQ and we would send them the money, but we stopped doing that. You're out of luck".

I did not sail RCI again for six years and then booked on the Navigator. On the Navigator I presented the chip at the casino cage on the first day. The cashier said she would take a picture of it and also send an email to the Liberty of the Seas. She took the picture, handed me back the chip and asked that I give them two days. Two days later I returned and she exchanged the chip for a C-note.
