mrpayroll Posted January 22, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2019 Leaving this weekend for Independence of the Seas and have a question. We have never brought our own wine aboard but plan on doing so this time. Do you ask the room steward for a couple of wine glasses or go to a bar to get them ? Thanks... Septemberbride07 Posted January 22, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2019 Our cabin steward brought them. We had left the bottle out on the desk and when we came back, there were two glasses. He also changed them out daily until our wine was gone.

TBone2K Posted January 22, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2019 If you buy wine with a cork, don't forget a corkscrew (put it in your checked bags if you are flying). The bartenders will give you one if you forget, but it is pretty flimsy.
blueridgemama Posted January 22, 2019 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2019 (edited) Can we bring a glass of wine (from our cabin) to dinner? Also if we bring a bottle of wine to dinner and don't drink it all, do they store it for us? Edited January 22, 2019 by blueridgemama

taglovestocruise Posted January 22, 2019 #8 Share Posted January 22, 2019 Just now, blueridgemama said: Can we bring a glass of wine (from our cabin) to dinner? We have always brought wine to dinner from the Diamond lounge or a bottle from the cabin to share with the table. Never had a corkage fee or problem. Last cruise on the Indy we had 8 -10 bottles of champagne brought to the table from several of our stablemates throughout the cruise and the waiter had it on ice within a minute or so, also never a corkage fee. happy cruising, love the Indy.
