There used to be a program to visit a sister ship while in port. We will be in Costa Maya on the Equinox and would like to tour the Symphony of the Seas while she is there.   Does anyone know if this is still allowed?

The last we heard, crew members still get to do this.

It would certainly be a nice perk to add for upper tier loyalty members (who have already been vetted multiple times) and it would cost the cruise line almost nothing.

I tried to do the same in Costa Maya but was turned down.  Was told you needed pre-approval from Miami and the visit had to be other than a visit/tour.

This program is long gone due to 9/11.

It´s only on invitation (for media and travel agents). Individual visits have to be approved by Miami. You have to turn in your passport data in advance. And you need to have a "reason" for the visit (like media, travel agents, family of crew...).
