We are on a b2b cruise 1/14-2/7. We have 2 different cabins on deck 7. I have heard they can move you, some say you need to pack up, others say no. I have no clue. I am sue Hong to find the same cabin since there is time. What would we have to do for packing up? The cruise ends in Sydney, they sails again onto New Zealand.

The cabin attendant will move all your hanging items in the closet,  they do not need to be packed.  You will need to pack your things that are in the drawers, toiletries. Items in the safe into your luggage and the cabin attendant will move the suitcases along with the hanging items from your closet.

We nearly always do B2B or B2B2B cruises, and at times have either had to book different staterooms or made the decision to book different staterooms for each leg.  When the disembarkation packets are delivered to passengers who will be leaving the cruise, B2B passengers will receive a succinct instruction letter about the turnaround day process.

You will be responsible for moving the contents of your stateroom safe.  You will be asked to place items in drawers in bags (Celebrity can provide them); we just throw them into our suitcases.  Items hanging on hangers will be moved by the stateroom attendant.  They have trolleys similar to ones which bellmen use in hotels.  Sometimes stateroom attendants have a certain process, so just ask your stateroom attendant how he or she wants to handle to move.  Also, once the departing passengers are out of your new stateroom, your stateroom attendant may be able to get to get you into that new stateroom so you can place your safe contents in the new safe.

And you can also place a waitlist request on staterooms, so you may want to do so in case one of the staterooms opens in the meantime.

Very easy and smooth process.  As others have pointed out.  Empty your safe, most importantly!  Clean out your toiletries from the bathroom, and pack them or throw them in one of the complimentary totes.  We left everything hanging in our closet.  Pack everything on the shelves and in drawers.  We tagged EVERYTHING, except the hanging stuff, with the next cabin's luggage tags.  We ordered extra just to be safe.  Leave everything in your cabin.  DO NOT put anything in the hall.  There will also be a meeting of the B2B'ers a day or two before the end of the first cruise, most of whom were staying in the same cabin.  So the few of us who had to change cabins made sure we heard from the staff at the meeting exactly what we needed to do.

We told our cabin attendant of the move (which he was already aware of), and he introduced us to our new attendant (who also was already in the know).

We had NO issues with the move.

One thing to be aware of is that the duty allowance isn’t per cruise.  It is for a rolling time period.

If you intend on getting 2 allowances for merchandise  and liquor you may be liable for duty on some items or overage than you expected

The other is sometimes they deliver your duty free liquor purchases the night before the end of your first cruise and sometimes they hold it over until the end of the next one.

Think about that one if you want to buy a little extra.  🥃🍷

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
