Sun balcony room

Hello everyone, I was thinking about booking an inside room however those prices have went up and it seems the balcony price has went down.

Anyway, does anyone have any tips or things to avoid on sun balcony rooms?

Or any preference for side of the ship for a 3 day, to GSC, and nassau, from port canaveral.

Also since it's open bar, we are planning on using : the upgrade dining perk,  which from my understanding we can order one entree and whatever sides and desserts for free? (Booking fee is $10 gratuity I believe)

And between wi fi or excursion credits any advice? Can excursion credit be put onto on board credit or is it use it at port or lose it?

Thank you

We prefer a mid level balcony so that we aren't under or above any noisy areas.  Deck 9 would be good.

The dining perk you can order one entry and as many appetizers and desserts as you want.  You have to pay the extra gratuity up front when you book the cruise

We generally avoid the excursion credit because we do excursions on our own.  And it's per port, use it or loose it.

Presuming we haven’t snagged one of the two now facing balconies, We like Deck 9 somewhere aft as it is two flights up to the Garden Cafe/The Great Outdoors where we usually have breakfast and lunch and two or three? Flights down to the MDR.

FYI best balcony, IMHO, on the Sun are the 2 forward facing balconies on deck 11.(1002 & 1202). The balcony is a really great size. When we wen through the Panama canal we had 2 lounge chairs and 2 chairs from inside the cabin out on the balcony, and a small table. We had 1202, and loved it. The room was a good size also.

Looks like we are going to go with the sail away balcony.

with the sail away do you still get the perks? I didn't think you did...

does anyone have a picture or video of a balcony on sun?

Shhhh, don’t give away the secret!  You can tell folks they are there but not the room numbers....make them do some work.  😂

all I saw was the old balcony rooms - wanted to see the newer ones...

The OLD the NEW no difference in the floor plan bed position furniture and bathroom.

Only the décor pictures on the wall carpet and color of the bed covers would change.

The physical dimensions of the cabin remain unchanged.

Browse around this LINK for more general details at this public sight:

We were in a mid ship balcony on deck 8 in February.  Most of the food venues are aft (MDR, buffet, Great outdoors, sports pub, Modernos) so its quite a walk to those elevators but only a few steps to the glass elevators that go down to the atrium, casino and guest services.
