I was wondering where everyone was as I didn't see a lot of people waving and they didn't zoom the camera in on the ship. Rare Jim_Iain Posted March 30, 2019 #53 Share Posted March 30, 2019 When you posted the daily, the flyer for the drink package that upgrading was $14. Do you know if this is unique to the FPC or a change for all cruises?

Do you know if this is unique to the FPC or a change for all cruises? That’s interesting. I didn’t even notice. I will find out. They are pushing packages on here like I’ve never seen because no one got perks. We bit the bullet and got them a few weeks ago! We hemmed and hawed but are glad we did! We had a lot of $15-17 cocktails in FLL and most top shelf onboard are “free”. 😀

In suites, you do not get Go Best, but still get Michael's Club and Luminae and I imagine upper suites get their extra perks, but I'm not sure. AQ has the same perks, including Blu. Concierge doesn't have the welcome lunch, most likely, but other in room perks are likely the same. We did board by cabin type last time. Captain's Club perks don't count - the host isn't even around. We were able to get our internet package and beverage packages with the Elite Plus discounts before the cruise. We've did a suite for the first one and AQ for the last one. I did try to get a sky suite for this one to have Michael's for drinks and not get the drink packages. The cost difference is about the same as 2 packages. We weren't able to get one, but we love Blu so happy to be there. The MDR is set up for 2 seatings to match the 2 evening concerts, though I don't think you have to be there exactly at a certain time (there is a range). There are few small tables, if any - they are set up so that you will share will other guests. I think that may be why AQ people are going to the MDR - they want to meet people. We are Gold, so we go to the early concert (6:30) and dine after - we usually go to Blu between 8:00 and 8:30. The other group is Silver and they go to the 9:00 show and dine earlier - ~6 or 6:30. This works out well as they are very strict about seeing your cards before entering the theater. There are plenty of seats for everyone this way. We usually line up around 5:45 (will be DH this time) and they will let us in around 6:00. We don't care about front row seats and always are able to get good seats. The front row people line up pretty early. The public sale opens on 4/11. Last year about 85% of the cabins were sold out for the following year by the time we left the ship to the guests onboard so if you want to go, be ready to jump on it! They were sold out a couple of weeks after the last cruise. 🙂 Thanks for all the info, hope we get on

vtcruising Posted March 31, 2019 Author #62 Share Posted March 31, 2019 Lots of good music last night! Stayed up way too late. I rolled in around 12 and DH around 1:30. He went to the Ides of March late night pool party and loved it! Dragged myself out of bed at 7 and enjoying a cup of tea at Cafe al Bacio. Here are some special events this week:
FlorenceItaly Posted March 31, 2019 #63 Share Posted March 31, 2019 What is your impression of the stateroom conditions? We have cruised on the Infinity four times, the latest being in December. After that cruise I decided I would not cruise on an M class again until after their revolution. I often think of the charter cruises that pay premium prices and wonder if the guests are disappointed in the condition of the staterooms. Thoughts? Most here are repeats so know what to expect (has been on Connie and Summit before). We’ve done M Class so know what to expect. Things are in pretty good shape. I am just happy to have a comfy couch and coffee table- bed is great. I will ask some people what they think of the cabins.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
FlorenceItaly Posted March 31, 2019 #65 Share Posted March 31, 2019 Looks pretty good! I have found the bathrooms in rough shape. On my Summit cruise last October, I had to ask the steward to clean the room. This was a first for me. It was a two week cruise, and I tried to ignore it, but, after a week, I just couldn't. Also, there was no hanging fabric where the head board should be. I asked about it, but, never appeared. Trust me, I am very easy going, and not demanding at all. As I said, I did try to live with it(heavy dust), but, ultimately could not. We are booked back on the Summit for June and are very excited to experience the new staterooms and decor.

vtcruising Posted April 1, 2019 Author #67 Share Posted April 1, 2019 (edited) Sorry that I haven’t posted - internet is spotty - I was spoiled by the Edge having a router in each cabin. I’ve found that Cafe al Bacio has the best internet so far. I’ve been getting up at 6:30 while all the old hippies sleep and enjoying my Tea Forte all by myself at al Bacio. My lovely server, Jenifer Lopez ( no, not THE JoLo, but just as cute), has been great! Saturday our big concert was the Loving Spoonful. We enjoyed all the hits - lots of fun and great music from the Infinity Band!! Do You Belive in Magic and Summer in the City brought everyone to their feet!! The weather has been fantastic so far - I’ve been enjoying the sun so so much. The concerts by the pool are a blast!!! 06A7C867-E8F3-4482-A560-13D2837BD443.MOV F66BECFB-FEA0-418A-8353-04EE4494B4D3.MOV Edited April 1, 2019 by vtcruising

vtcruising Posted April 1, 2019 Author #69 Share Posted April 1, 2019 (edited) Yesterday was a great day! We were so busy - last night I was tired, but happy! This was the agenda for yesterday: We we went to the Q and A with the Living Spoonful and Cyrcle in the morning. As always, it was interesting and funny with lots of music history and back stories if life on the road. The Peter Asher concert was amazing - our favorite so far! He is from Peter and Gordon and talks about life in Great Britain in the 60’s in the music world. His sister dated Paul McCartney for a few years and lived with his family so he was a good friend. He told the story of how Paul wrote Peter and Gordon’s first hit - whipped it off one night. A World Without Love. We laughed, we cried - he told the story of Gordon who died a couple of years ago and sang a song with him (with Gordon on the screen behind him) - so beautiful! He also sang Lady Godiva and we all joined in at the top of our lungs. 😎 Peter is our host and is just the nicest man. We also went to the Rock Comedy by Joel Mason, a very funny musician, tribute artist and comedian. It was a show by the pool and soooooo much fun. The sun was gorgeous!! 82D4CEA1-2CE9-46FC-A01B-83C94D5CAE42.MOV 1490A3FD-6CC2-4573-A556-66E08616D3CF.MOV Edited April 1, 2019 by vtcruising

vtcruising Posted April 1, 2019 Author #72 Share Posted April 1, 2019 Sorry having trouble editing with my phone today. 😉 Gary Puckett and the Union Gap was our big concert last night. His voice is different now but he stuck to his good range most of the time, which is still gorgeous. He sang some covers that were excellent and had everyone on their feet for songs like “Young Girl, “ which is one of my all time favorites. His concert was excellent overall - he did a touching tribute to service men and women and was actually very sweet and introspective. He talked a lot about their early days and had some great stories. We had not liked him that well on the first FPC but he was very cool on this cruise! I was a as a happy flower child when I went to bed last night!✌️😎🌈
