latebloomer56 Posted April 3, 2019 #3 Share Posted April 3, 2019 What about suite passengers? Also is the ferry running in April? Thanks
bermudajane Posted April 4, 2019 #4 Share Posted April 4, 2019 NCL doesn't have a private ferry, do they? All ferries are operated by the Bermuda government and I would not think any cruise passenger would have any kind of priority boarding. Boarding doesn't take long anyway. There is an NCL-owned ferry, for use by NCL passengers only, that runs between Dockyard and St. George Edited April 4, 2019 by njhorseman

The ferry service is part of an agreement between NCLH and Bermuda's government . I believe this is the third year the free ferry will be running. Just saw a post on our roll call the pier isn't done yet and we sail next Friday. NCL will be happy if they take longer it will keep folk's on the ship more to spend if they have to use a tender to go ashore. Thanks

Thanks There is no construction going on where the NCL ferry docks at Heritage Wharf so there's nothing to prevent the ferry from running. If you look at portbermudawebcam.com you'll see the Oceania Riviera is docked at Heritage Wharf right now and the spot where the NCL ferry docks is right across the pier from the ship to the left of the customs building. The construction is at the adjacent Kings Wharf. I assume you're on the Norwegian Gem. I have no idea what they'll do about your ship's docking, although you could dock at Heritage Wharf the day you arrive as it's unoccupied and then go to anchor and tendering on Monday before the Anthem of the Seas arrives . You know there isn't a heck of a lot that NCL could sell you if you're on board a bit longer because of the need to tender. The on board shops will be closed regardless and the casino doesn't open until 9 pm.

NCL does not want to tender. NCL and other cruise lines want docks and often contribute big money to building docks at ports so they won't have to tender. Not a fan of the chance we may tender but hey we are in beautiful Bermuda 😀. Barb Nahoumi Posted April 11, 2019 #15 Share Posted April 11, 2019 If you go to portofbermudawebcam.com, you'll see that the Carnival Pride is docked at Kings, and the NCL Getaway is docked at Heritage. Earlier this morning, the NCL ferry was docked in front of the Getaway, but it is probably underway to St. George's now. The weather looked a bit stormy, with choppy water in the harbor. I hope that the ships had a decent cruise down to Bermuda.
