Nieum Statedam Deck 8 Noise from Lido?

  Hi there we are new to Holland and just wondering about booking a cabin on deck 8.at the aft... just wondering if anyone who has had a cabin there if it was very noisy  being under the buffet?   or if anyone could suggest the best location on this deck? thk u

We haven't stayed in cabins on this deck because we avoid being under public spaces.  We have heard that those cabins can be noisy - chairs scraping on the deck as the crew cleans and sets up the aft deck for the day. Also, someone on CC posted recently that they felt sorry for anyone in a cabin under the areas of the Lido that aren't carpeted -the scraping of the chairs was loud.

My DH is a very light sleeper and we always try to get a cabin above and below other cabins.

We actually like  Deck 8 and frequently book it.  We’ve been in rooms from  the Aft Elevators area to a few rooms Forward of mid-Ship elevators.  We haven’t had any issues with noise especially inside the room itself and now and then have only heard  some chair movement while sitting on the balcony.  One Cruise on Koningsdam we were under Dive-In and heard a chair or a rolling cart now and then.

That was me for one --- we were under a small area of the Lido Market that wasn't carpeted & every evening we were treated to scraping furniture...maybe when they were setting up for the Late Night snack.

We had friends on NS that stayed under Canaletto on deck 8 and they had no issues.

I was recently on Deck 8 right below the lido pool area and I could here furniture being moved in the area.
