Upgraded, (Free!), to an Aft Suite from a Mini on the Dawn

Just wondering what's included in the upgrade.  I booked through the big box store and the agent said we would keep the original "pick two" add-ons and would get the butler service.  We are departing from Manhattan next month, (to NE), and I'm wondering if we get suite check-in, concierge, Moderno's lunch, and/or anything else.  Sorry if I sound pretentious, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Alison

OP, you don't sound pretentious but just wondering what your cabin # is.  Someone seems to think you were upgraded to a Mini suite, is this correct or were upgraded to a PH suite (SF) on the Dawn.

If it's a real suite, you'll get Butler and Concierge. You'll have dining privileges in MOderno/Cagneys and all the other suite priviledges.

BTW, congrats on the upgrade!  Sorry, I missed your post but confirm what I've posted is correct for you.  Priority embarkation is included as well.

Enjoy  your suite and your cruise.

Thank you so much, All-ready2cruise.  Yes, we were upgraded to a SF on Deck 9.  I was just curious about what's included because in the past, many people that did an exchange said that many suite perks were not included.  I'm especially interested in the embarking and disembarking and the dining.  Thank you so much for your reply!

Sorry but you get nothing more than the balcony cabins you get more bathroom space and maybe more balcony space.

Incorrect.

The OP will get all of the benefits of being in a Suite.

- Butler Service

- Concierge Service

- Private Check-in Area with Escorted first boarding onto ship

- Breakfast and Lunch in the Suites Restaurant (Cagney's/Moderno)

- Escorted disembarkation and embarkation at ports

- Complimentary in-suite dining from complimentary restaurants (including Suites restaurant)

The OP should be aware that their butler and concierge are not included in the Daily Service Charge and there is an expectation that they are tipped separately.

Congrats, Alison ... (Woot Woot) you are going to spoil him with all that pampering; and, what a way to celebrate Happy 35th.

And, if I am not mistaken, you will also get priority tendering - very useful for 2 of the port stops.  Plus, reserved seating exclusive up in the stage box up in the sky (on either side) for the main theater.

There is also - I believe - one (1) portable ship-only ("old" Nokia style, candybar phone to use while roaming around the ship ...)

Had one of those Aft Suites on the GEM last year.  Not sure if they’re similar on the Dawn, but it is a great suite, if so.  Lots of room, nice bathroom, great aft balcony.

As Bird mentioned, Concierge, Butler, breakfast in Moderno/Cagney’s...all included.

Have fun, take pics, let us know how you liked it!

Thank you so much BirdsTravel!  I know that the butler and concierge will be receiving gratuities outside the included service charges, which I have already prepaid.  But room service from Cagney's and Moderno is included for lunch?  🤗

Yes. If you want something off the suites menus, your butler can deliver it to your stateroom with a white table cloth. Lunch (double cut pork chops!) and breakfast.

For breakfast, there are the standard room service check box cards. Ignore the check boxes and write what you want on the card. Eggs over easy, egg white omelets with spinach and tomatoes, bacon, ham, sausage, grilled tomatoes, filet steak, breakfast potatoes, has browns, breads, juices, and a Diet Pepsi.

Ha ha ha!  I’m so glad you got the DIET Pepsi!  Thank you, BirdTravels, that was very helpful information.  The only other time we’ve been in a suite with NCL, (besides a Mini), was on the Breakaway in an aft PH.  We never once ate in the Haven just because it was so dang far away.  I’ll always regret that.  Plus, the butler could bring us Cagney’s or Le Bistro for dinner and we filled in whatever we wanted for breakfast just like you did.  So cool, I’m very excited!

One special treat that comes with the Dawn Aft Penthouse is that you get to smell fresh pastries baking in the morning, and baking bread in the afternoon on your balcony. The bakery vents are below these suites and the aroma is wonderful.
