12 packs of soda

I know that my husband and I are each allowed to bring a 12 pack of soda on board once we embark on the cruise.  My question is this.....When we are in San Juan, I know that they have a CVS right near the port.  Can we each buy another 12 pack and bring it on the ship at that stop?

Also in San Juan, a lot of people take sodas (and wine) on, drop them off in their cabin, debark the ship, go back and get more. Rinse and repeat.

I find they are more forgiving on the plastic bottle rule when coming back from a port day also.

We were there in December and brought canned sodas back on board with no problem.  I think the CVS has become a Walgreens ... but it's in the same spot as before - right on the cruise port waterfront road

When in port in San Juan the Walgreens is almost directly across the street in front of the Sheraton Hotel.  If you keep the water on your left and walk down approximately 2 1/2 long blocks you will come to the CVS.  It is our experience that the CVS has a larger selection than Walgreens.  Be aware that soda of any kind is sold in packs of 8 in Puerto Rico, not the normal 12 cans  that we are used to on the mainland.

I wish CCL would cut the cost of pre-cruise soda purchases like they did with the water.
