Icon of the Seas Blocks Are In The House!

I wonder if it will still be called ‘Central Park’ on Icon. Central Park had been exclusive to Oasis class ships. Maybe it will be a similar ICONIC green space from another city, or even a different park on each new ship in the Icon class. There are so many beautiful parks in the US alone, not to mention parks from all over the world. Some US parks could include:

Griffith Park - Los Angeles, California

Fairmount Park - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Falls Park - Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Gas Works Park - Seattle, Washington

Piedmont Park - Atlanta, Georgia

City Park - New Orleans, Louisiana

Zilker Park - Austin, Texas

Boston Common - Boston, Massachusetts

Dolores Park - San Francisco, California

Lincoln Park - Chicago, Illinois

Those just roll off the tongue.

Now St Louis's Forest Park is close

Apparently this is the Royal promenade

That’s interesting and different if those are inside facing Promenade balconies (Bourbon Street Promenade 😀). I would have thought it would be an area in Central Park close to the elevator bank or Board area near the Hot Dog stand like on Oasis Class ships.

I was thinking the same thing. Similar to the new MSC World Europa.

More 'frame' but unpainted in this photo. At least three deck high? On both sides or just one?

Maybe it has been mentioned already, but I was looking at some of the blocks with that small notch and wondering what it could be. Now that it seems from recent photos that the outside promenade may two levels high with regular balcony cabins right above, I think that notch could be for the Lifeboat davit. See photo illustration. @Lloyd555 Perhaps you’ve seen some more recent photos too 😉.

And I thought those were just decorative notches. 🙂

Not noticed in recent images.

Sorry. I just realized that I may have seen them in images from the Gdansk shipyard, and yes indeed...
