High Tea?

I have tried to search but come up blank...Going on the Oosterdam in August.  Do they have high tea at some point while on that cruise.  A member of our party wants to know.  Thank you all so much!  PS - I have no idea what high tea even means...!

Afternoon Tea is served between 3pm and 3.45pm daily.  Finger sandwiches, scones and pastries, served with tea or coffee.

High Tea (which would include HOT food) is not served.

There is a recent discussion of afternoon tea. CMax is correct, high tea and afternoon tea are not the same thing (and high tea is not a fancier/posh version of afternoon tea). If the person who asked about "high tea" is American, they probably were looking for afternoon tea.

This recent Thread has some more info.  The current Know Before You Go says that once per cruise, afternoon tea is elevated to Royal Dutch High Tea, but that has not been the case for some time.

Last December on the Koningsdam the head maitre d' told us that daily afternoon tea was still hosted by HA but their special teatimes--Indonesian tea service, cupcake tea, and the Royal Dutch High tea services had been eliminated.

Or if offered such as on our recent Westerdam cruise the Dutch high tea was nothing out of the ordinary. Sad!

I'm on Maasdam now,  halfway through a 21-day Alaska trip, and the only tea I've seen on the daily schedule is afternoon tea, no mention of classic or any other type.
