Miami Port Hotel

What’s your budget? Hotels in the downtown and Brickell areas will run north of $225.00 If you scan the websites you can sometimes catch a good buy. The hotels out by MIA are cheaper but it’s not the best area to stay. I would only stay in the Doral area, west of MIA. You will not find any shuttles for downtown. The MIA area hotels are the ones you will find the transportation you are looking for. Some of these hotels charge a fee to shuttle to the port.  Cost from downtown to port runs around $10.00-$12.00 and a shuttle from MIA to downtown runs around $30.00.

Near the port check out the Intercontinental, Doubletree and next door Marriott, Holiday Inn,as well as hotels in the Mary Brickell area (Hampton Inn is the most often suggested). As mentioned above, none includes airport shuttles, but a cab will only cost $25-30 or you can Uber for $20 or less.

We just booked Double Tree Grand Hotel Biscayne  . Is this a good area and food nearby? Thanks

Yes, we love to stay there. Nice pool, some rooms offer a view of the port, and nearby shopping and dining.

First time flying to MIA probably arriving around noon next summer.  We probably will stay around the pool and go to dinner.

We are 2 senior ladies and a 10 yr old granddaughter.

Would like a hotel with a shuttle to hotel/port with breakfast and a restaurant for dinner near by.

Don't focus on shuttles. You will see any local tell you that.

With a noon arrival, go find a hotel in Downtown Miami or Brickell. You'll be close walking distance to plenty of places to eat and then a very short and cheap Uber/Lyft or Taxi ride to the port.

Hampton Inn Brickell is an extremely popular choice with a pool and breakfast included.

You might want to check out the Holiday Inn Port of Miami.  It's located across the street from the Bayside Marketplace.  They have a pre-cruise package that includes the breakfast buffet plus a shuttle to the cruise port.

For what dates?

This and other hotels out near the MIA airport are fine if you are arriving late and just want dinner and a room. If you are arriving earlier in the day and want to see and experience some of Miami then choose a downtown hotel.
