Alakegirl Posted June 29, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 29, 2019 This shows up every few months here on Cruise Critic. Do a search to see earlier discussion and what conclusions were drawn
cruiserchuck Posted June 29, 2019 #5 Share Posted June 29, 2019 I would not be worried about cruises later this year. I recall awhile back one of the other M class ships was included in a similar listing. The thought at that time was Celebrity had not actually listed the ship for sale. Since the Millennium was just refurbished, I doubt that Celebrity would be trying to sell in now. Maybe they will try to sell it after more of the E class ships are in service. Robb Posted June 29, 2019 #6 Share Posted June 29, 2019 I really hope that there are no changes..............we are on an April cruise around Japan
CruisersTimesThree Posted June 29, 2019 #7 Share Posted June 29, 2019 That’s an old listing and someone always finds it a couple of times a year and posts it here. I doubt Celebrity would pour money into a complete renovation just to turn around and sell the ship.
Rare cruisestitch Posted June 29, 2019 #8 Share Posted June 29, 2019 As I recall, it was Connie last time that was listed. And maybe infinity was listed once upon a time too? Also some Holland America ships. Nothing ever comes of it, it just stirs people up for a while,
Rare Cruise Junky Posted June 29, 2019 #9 Share Posted June 29, 2019 Interesting they’ve switched the ships for sale. A few months ago it was Connie not Millennium.
cruiserchuck Posted June 29, 2019 #10 Share Posted June 29, 2019 Two more M class ships probably not really for sale. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2396957-two-m-class-ships-for-sale/
PhoenixCruiser Posted June 29, 2019 #11 Share Posted June 29, 2019 Why would they invest so much money in a ship they hope to sell?
Chanbre Posted June 29, 2019 #12 Share Posted June 29, 2019 If someone really wants to sell a ship for that much money I would expect them to write a proper advert, using terms like "perspective buyer" in the advert is a no-no.
Alakegirl Posted June 29, 2019 #13 Share Posted June 29, 2019 They aren’t selling the ships, everybody please don’t panic. This website has had many other listings for ships that aren’t really up for sale
