Ocean Suite Check In

We have an ocean suite booked on the Miracle. I thought I read it came with VIP check in and the cabin would be ready at that time. Now I can't find where I read it, to verify the information. Our documents say Priority, our luggage tags are normal. When I did our documents it gave me an arrival time choice.

I guess I am asking:
Can we ignore the given arrival time? Arrive at the beginning of check in?

Will the cabin be ready?

Priority tender? If so, how do we get through the crowd?

Thanks, this is our last big vacation before my oldest flies the coop. I really want to have a great time.

We were in an Ocean suite on the Freedom last Oct.  We had priority boarding and debarkation.  And.....robes.  I believe you still have to have FTTF to get into your suite before 1:30, priority water shuttles and priority guest services line unless you are already platinum or diamond.  We might have dropped our carry on off a little early, though.  The suite was ready, but many of the other rooms were not.

Priority Tender? Have no idea. Never needed to use it. (However, note that the priority portion is only to get off the ship, not when standing in line to get back to the ship)

As others have said, your cabin isn't ready unless you have FTTF. You have to wait until 1:30 like everyone else. You will have priority.

Thanks for all the replies. Not getting in our room early is not a big deal. We try not to carry on a lot so we will wait.

With priority tender they will give you a location to meet and will accompany you off.

Yes a letter should be delivered to your cabin the night before. It might be mixed in with the printed FunTimes or alone in your mailbox. 

Priority passengers will be loaded to the tenders after passengers with early in the day excursions for the first hour or so of the tender process. Additionally if you miss the "lounge" meeting point times you can usually go to the Priority line at guest services for an escort if there is still lines for the tenders.

Great, thanks. My husband and sons have an early excursion one day. Hopefully they can get moving in time to get an early tender.

For tender ports the meeting point for early excursions (cruise line purchased) maybe on board and if so will be in s separate area than the priority tendering meeting. Even if they have priority they need to make that meeting point on board for the the tour, information will either be on or with the excursion tickets, if not there then a letter regarding the tour will be delivered to the cabin the night before. Certain tours sometimes go on private tenders, in some cases (mostly snorkeling, dives, private beach days, or fishing trips) completely bypassing the port dock and heading straight to the area the activity will take place in. If referencing a privately purchased tour then just go to the priority tendering area.

Getting off of the ship at the end of the cruise.  If you are Platinum/Diamond, you will be given a letter the night before telling you where to meet.  After the ship has been cleared by customs, they call for passengers who carry off their own luggage.  (Self debarkation).  Then they call for priority debarkation which is the Platinum/Diamond passengers.  Sometimes they let the people with FTTF go in that group too.  If not, they go after P/Ds.  Then they start calling off the zones.

We booked a our first suite on our last cruise since our adult daughter was going with us for her first cruise.
LOVED the priority boarding, debarkation and tender access!
Gave us a taste of FTTF and we were disappointed it wasn't available for our next cruise (9 months in advance, FTTF was already sold out!)

I accidentally misread the info and thought we had all the perks of FTTF.
We went past the doors to our cabin at about 12:00 (that's when we got on board) and our room and room keys were ready, even though our luggage wasn't there.
No one stopped us and we got lots of smiles.
HOWEVER I am usually a stickler for the rules so if I had known that we wouldn't have breached the doors.

I only found out the difference when I went to guest services to get a deck of cards and instead of waiting at the long line went to the short little VIP Priority line. (again, misread the perks with a suite).
The person at the desk helped me (since it was something simple, I'm sure) but politely informed me that this line was ONLY for FTTF and Platinum/Diamond members.

That's when I went back and reread the perks.

One thing I do appreciate is that the crew member could have called me out and embarrassed me by sending me to the back of the other line. They didn't do that (again, probably because it was simple and relatively quick request, and there was no one else in the Priority line at the time). Not that I wouldn't have gone willingly. As I said, I am usually a stickler for rules and actually was plenty embarrassed already when my mistake was pointed out.

But enjoy your suite!!
We had a great time in ours, but decided our next cruise to spend the extra cost between a balcony and suite on other things (like saving for the next-next cruise!)

My youngest son is 6"1, we need the extra room in a suite plus too many of us like the balcony. I told my oldest this is the last vacation mom and dad pay for.
