Happy2Cruise! Posted August 2, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 2, 2019 I was told by CAS I could only book a cruise no longer than one year out. Does anyone know if this is really true. I was looking for a cruise in Feb 2021. Thanks for any information.
Rare WrittenOnYourHeart Posted August 2, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 2, 2019 (edited) What is CAS? And is the cruise you want even out for sale yet? I booked Pride of America for July 2021 with my travel agent back in April or May. Edited August 2, 2019 by WrittenOnYourHeart
msmayor Posted August 2, 2019 #3 Share Posted August 2, 2019 Are you referring to Casino at Sea? I just booked a December 2020 cruise through a Casino at Sea agent (my first NCL cruise - the agent was referred to me by a friend) and she was happy to manage the booking for me. Nola26 Posted August 2, 2019 #4 Share Posted August 2, 2019 I generally book using certificates from a local casino. I am given a list of cruises to choose from. My last one required I reserve by May 30th. I booked a cruise for March 1, 2020. The latest cruise on the list was March 30, 2020 and I was given the certificate on March 30, 2019. I have booked calling CAS directly and taken advantage of an applied discount. Those have generally been cruises we wanted to take when I didn't have a certificate available. We rarely book cruises a year out. We did for our last one, but that was due to needing to cancel and rebook due to a change in school spring break schedule. CAS is a special pricing table. It's possible that the table isn't set this far in advance. It may also be they want to sell at full price then fill in with CAS guests.
emcelh Posted August 2, 2019 #5 Share Posted August 2, 2019 I booked a cruise in April for December of 2020 through CAS. There wasn't a certificate involved, it was just the discounted rate I usually get from CAS. Our last cruise was in November of 2018 and it was also booked more that a year in advance through CAS. It's not a comped cruise but with their casino discount.

If you are booking directly with CAS, just say “I would like the Bliss on December xx, 2020”.
