Yep, another elegant night question

Not trying to start a debate or argument, just need info.  For those that "gussy up" on elegant night, on a 7 night cruise is the first elegant night more so than the second or are they equal?

I tend to wear a business suit both nights but I've noticed that fewer people dress up on the second night.

As others mention, the second cruise elegant night tends to be a little more dressed down than the first, IMO at least.

We have our young sons join us for dinner in the MDR each night and I refuse to pay for dress clothes for them as they grow so fast. They wear polos/collared shirts with khaki shorts and a nice clean haircut. My DH pointed out last cruise why he had to wear a suit when they were dressed like that. 

 

I've conceded that this cruise he can wear nice dress slacks and a dress shirt or nicer polo tucked in with dress shoes.
