Dropping a Perk

When I booked our cuise I did it under get all the perks free.  My DH and I have discussed it and really don't want the drink package.  Can I drop it and not change our reservation or cabin?

and if you book with a TA, your TA has to call NCL for you. sometimes NCL does handle booking related issues if they see you use a TA

Yes.

 

You have to call, but they will not force you to take a perk. You will get a refund for the service charges  that you paid.

 

If you booked with a TA they can handle it for you. If you booked yourself you need to call.

It might not be that simple. There was a time when the "Take 5" would automatically become the "Take 2" if a non-suite booking didn't take the beverage package promo.

 

NCL should be willing to make the change that the OP wants (it has been a rough couple of days for NCL) but I wouldn't be surprised if there is pushback when trying to drop the beverage promo for a non-suite.

I was going to comment on this.  My sister is actually switching in the other direction - she originally took 2 promos but is now looking to switch to take all 5.

Another great reason to use a travel agent. Call him or her and let them do the calling.

As previously mentioned , changes to Take 5 will probably become a Take 2 when you wish to remove the  pricy Free Drinks .

I did call and got it removed with no problem.  I still retained all the other perks.

I remember that people had trouble when booking without the beverage promo.

I booked mine through NCL. I didn’t want the specialty dining perk. They had no problems taking that one off. I still received all the others though.
