Most (Best) and Least (Worst)

Hi,

I thought I’d be interesting to ask and to share what people like most and least about each cruise line they’ve been on.

For my DW and myself,

Royal Caribbean: we like the ships themselves.  The Oasis and Quantum class ships are destinations in themselves.  We don’t fancy the itineraries on Royal, they don’t go to many of the places other lines go to with regularity and they don’t offer a world cruise.

Norwegian: we like the friendliness of all the staff and some of the best itineraries of major lines.  We don’t like the ships layout as the ceilings are low and The Haven takes up so much space that the rest of the ship is claustrophobic.

Celebrity:  we like the truly superior customer service we enjoyed on Celebrity and also the great quality of food.  We really never found anything we didn’t like though Celebrity doesn’t have as many activities for kids.

Princess: we like the quality of the dining on Princess and the great itineraries.  We didn’t like the lack of follow through on Princess for poor service issues.

What do you like most and least for each line you’ve been on?

Cheers,

Aaron

Rccl in general is our favorite because of entertainment we have done about 20 cruises and are diamond plus.

Celebrity has by far the best suite perks, love suite dinning room and suite lounge

in the middle is princess and Hal

on the bottom is carnival and ncl, now we have not cruised either in a long time but see no reason to return, customer service on ncl is the worse .

looking forward to trying msc again in yacht club in a couple of months

Best in my experience has been Cunard .No negatives about that cruise line.

Second best is Celebrity ,no negatives.

Next RCI,best pizza ,great crew.

NCL has the best ice cream and a great crew but the food could be better.

HAL worst entertainment ,crew not that great .I liked their itineraries.

Carniva, the worst cruise line ever with the exception of a Waiter we had in 1994 who when he learned at lunch that I dropped my camera and my pictures were ruined went out with his camera, took as many pictures as possible ,had them developed and gave them to me.

Mainstream Lines - dislike the ships in general - too big, way too many people, noisy kids, nickle & diming, shopping hosts, photogs, art auctions, mediocre to poor food, can't bring on local wines/beer. Can't think of any positives.

Viking Ocean. Positives - small well designed ships with understated decor, spacious, lots of quiet nooks & crannies, resident historian, no kids, no casino, no photogs, quality food, ability to bring unlimited local wines/beers aboard and they even open/serve them to you in restaurants/bars with no corkage, included wi-fi, included laundry, free specialty restaurants, no loyalty program with various coloured cards. Negatives - full payment 6 months before departure.

RCI best for entertainment. In fact, no other line comes close if you enjoy quality production shows. Least? I would say their itineraries.

Viking Ocean is my favorite all around line for most of the reasons Heidi13 posted. My only negative is wishing they had more ships.

I love Celebrity for their big modern ships. They’ve captured a contemporary design that others haven’t. Least would be their fares. Celebrity is a popular cruise line and their prices show it.

Ive cruised over a dozen other lines but those are the only 3 that stand out for me.
