How to order in ala carte restaurant with dinner package

I'm sorry I could not find an answer to this:    if you have a dinner package, how do you order in an ala carte restaurant since everything is priced separately?

Tell the server what you want to eat. Your apps, sides, desserts, etc. are covered by your package. You also get 1 entree.

My package just says:   3 Meal Specialty Dining Package

 

This was included as part of an NCL promotion.  In any event, we should be OK at $35 pp.   (We'll be on the Encore in Feb 2020.)

Yes multiple desserts and appetizers. Only one entree, everything else no limit. Enjoy

you choose appetizer and as many sides as you want, with just one entree. It is simple and you will get plenty of food. Oh, you can also order a dessert if you have room that is.

They may tell you you're limited to 1 app/dessert or 1 soup 1 salad etc - they're either purposely misleading you or confusing your SDP with the platinum benefit. You can either ignore them and go ahead and order the extra apps/desserts or push back on them and order it. In either case it is extremely unlikely you will get charged for them, I don't think I've ever read on here anyone getting charged for extra apps/desserts on the SDP. If somehow you do get charged, the restaurant manager, maitre 'd, or guest services should be able to remove the charges. The Terms and Conditions of the SDP are understood to allow for multiple apps and desserts.

This question comes up a lot.  Should the admins make it a sticky thread along with one for the Free Air promo and another for the PBP promo?  That way someone looking for answers knows right where to find it instead of creating a new thread.
