Do you board from the port or starboard side?   Also, which deck do you board on?

Thank you.

Four out of five sailings we boarded on the starboard side.

Oasis class ships favor boarding on the starboard side, but they do board on the port side from time to time.  This is not predictable.

Maybe I am a little dense, but why does it matter which side of the ship you board on?  You basically go through security/checkin and go up an escalator.  Then avoid or partake of the photographers and go up the boarding ramps and are on the ship.

This is an honest question and not trying to be judgmental.

Maybe superstition?   I am curious too, last thing I care about is which side I board so long as I get on the ship!

We boarded starboard, deck 5.

Advice:  The first thing you want to do is make a beeline to deck 8 and go to Park Cafe in Central Park and get an out of this world roast beef sandwich (assuming you like meat)!   If you don't, I'm told they have great salads there (DW raved about them).
