Cruzmama Posted November 16, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2019 Leaving on the Veendam next week. I have my boarding pass, passport, credit card and drivers license. Is that all the documentation l need to check in? We have an oceanview and I believe I read that there is only one outlet (besides bathroom). I know we can't bring on a surge protector, so what is the best thing to bring on?
woodworker&knitter Posted November 16, 2019 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2019 We’re also on the Veendam next week. I either ask the cabin steward or the Front Desk for an extension cord. (That’s what they call the power bars) looking forward to meet you. We are Barbara and David from Newmarket Ontario
Gigi1977 Posted November 16, 2019 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2019 We have a small strip the on the box states it is not surge protected. It goes in the suitcase in the original box. Think it has 3 plug ‘spots’.
woodworker&knitter Posted November 16, 2019 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2019 You are correct, it can’t be surge protected.
57redbird Posted November 16, 2019 #5 Share Posted November 16, 2019 Check on eBay or Amazon for a 'cruise ship power strip'---- can't find mine right now but it has Cruise Ship in the title & it's not surge protected.

If you're in a pinch for time, just go to hardware store (even some drug/grocery store) and get a slim 3-outlet lightweight extension cord. Not a strip at all. It won't be surge-protected and will provide enough power to charge electronics (which are mostly low demand trickle-charge). If you have a CPAP/oxy machine that might require more power, go with the ship's extension cord/splitter.
