What is free at Coco Cay, pool swimming, kid area?  Are slides crowded?

Everything is included...food, pools, kids pool area, toddler pool area, beaches.  And if you bought the drink package, it is also included on the Island, using your seapass.

What is not included is the Water Park, roughly in the middle of the Island,  where all the slides are.  You can look at RC website and they will list the slides etc that are inside the Water Park.  The Island is not huge, very walkable with lots to do.    We were there last weekend, weather was awful, cool and windy, so not crowded at all even thought there were 2 ships there.   Very small lines at slides.   But I'm sure due to the yucky weather.

We were there Thanksgiving week; the only ship in port.  With more than that, unless small ships, it would be crowded.   Enjoyed the island a lot.  The food served was the best I've had on any cruise line's private island yet.   Many different areas to lounge, and there was construction going on at the far side of the island to create more areas for guests.

Everything is free but the water park, in simplest terms.  Beach, chairs, umbrellas, massive pool, food, drinks with package, etc.

You asked about kids area.  There is a big pirate ship water play area right when you get off the pier, can't miss it.  Also, there is a very big splashaway bay kids water park that is free, too.  Next to the pool.  It has small slides and all sorts of stuff.

If you don't want to do main water park with the big slides, then essentially everything else is free other than floating mats, snorkel equipment, things like that.  But even the beach umbrellas are free.  It's definitely not a nickel and dime vibe.

do they have a buffet like labadee or is the food at different locations on the island? So the pool and chairs, umbrellas,  are free?

Free food at a few different locations around the island.

There is an extensive buffet (more types of food than Labadee), plus there is the Snack Shack that has a few other food options.  All are free, including pool, chairs, umbrellas.
