Yes, there is normally a priority for Elites, but it can be confusing.  There is categorization by cabin as well that seems to dominate.  Suite passengers, Aqua Class, etc. have separate lines.

The last cruise we did on Celebrity was from Chile to San Diego in March/April 2019 and the boarding process was so fast it was incredible.   The pre-clearance process online that we always do has been upgraded.   I don't think our processing at the port took more than 5 minutes.

Just an additional question here if I may ..... do Elites get priority tendering ? We have 3 tenders in a row and was thinking I read somewhere they do ?

Once on board, find the Captains Club Host. They will be your best friend.

As an elite (and above) you will receive a notice in your stateroom the evening before your tender port stop from the CC host telling you where and what time to meet and you will be escorted by the CC host to the tenders. No tender tickets required.

The answer is:  It depends.  Sometimes yes and sometimes no.

Usually yes, but on some cruises where there are an extremely high number of Elites, they may not get it.

Priority tendering can be similar to priority boarding in that so many categories of passengers have "priority" that it can become almost meaningless.

The highest priority for tendering typically goes to passengers who have booked the ship's own excursions and those in suites.

Some people book the ship's cheapest excursion that they don't even intend to take just to get on an early tender.
