Main Dining Room Question

I have an upcoming cruise on the Escape. I have made reservations for the specialty restaurants. When I look at the main dining rooms, there is a spot to make reservations.  Do I require reservations for the main dining rooms for supper? Can I show up without reservations ?

You don't need reservations for the main dining room.  How many in your party?  We re cruising next month with several other people (13 total). We did make reservations in the main dining room for our group because of the size.

There are just 2 in our party. I had heard with the larger ships, you needed reservations for almost everything.

Just make reservations for everything and if your plans change, no biggie. It never hurts to make reservations .

You do NOT need reservations for the MDR for 2 people.

If you two want a two top table, those are some of the most difficult tables to come by as there fewer of them ....  Make the reservation, what could it possibly hurt?

You do not need to make a reservation. We like to eat at a certain time so I usually make a reservation. If I see that I need to change it I just pick up the phone and cancel it.

It helps to get seated faster if you have a reservation at the MDR. If you miss your time, just show up when you are hungry or when it fits your schedule.  Bottom line, go ahead a make a reservation.

Main dining rooms can easily be reserved on board the day of. Exception would be Tropicana on a show night, keep your eyes open though.
