Esprit Posted February 7, 2020 #26 Share Posted February 7, 2020 On our last cruise aboard AOTS (B2B) last October I took four formal jackets for each of the formal nights. No problem with the airline luggage restriction either. All six guys in our group dressed formally. Even had one passenger try to buy a jacket off one of my pals. The guy loved the multi coloured jacket so much! We dress to compliment our wives attire and they love to dress up. What others choose to wear, never bothers us in the slightest.
farmermark Posted February 7, 2020 #27 Share Posted February 7, 2020 Bought a tux before sailing Princess Caribbean we were on in Jan. 2020. Like you had several NCL cruises prior. Did not draw any attention really in the tux first formal night (everyone was looking at my beautiful wife age 45 LOL) So had to up my game for 2nd formal night. Wore my black tux with black shirt and a colorful Mickey Mouse tie showing nicely with open jacket. Got LOTS of compliments on that. Formal doesn't mean "stuffy"....don't be afraid to have fun with it.
Vacationdreamer<>< Posted February 8, 2020 #28 Share Posted February 8, 2020 One of my favorite things about princess is how most people dress for dinner. ❤
ALWAYS CRUZIN Posted February 8, 2020 #29 Share Posted February 8, 2020 Me, no TUX . No more suite either. Last time I was taking my suit , I forgot it in the trunk. Got there late and had to park a long way form the ship. Ran all the way back to the car to get it and almost did not make it for boarding. That was it, no more suit.
