Bingotommy Posted February 6, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2020 I will be cruising on the Dream in 2 weeks and would like to know if anyone has any tips or tricks about this ship.
Lottacruises Posted February 6, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 6, 2020 It's about like the rest of them. Gary is really funny and I love to see his trivia parties.
PhillyFan33579 Posted February 7, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 7, 2020 Not a trick, but the thermal suites on Dream class ships are the best in Carnival’s fleet due to the thalassotherapy pool.

Rare Saint Greg Posted February 7, 2020 #5 Share Posted February 7, 2020 I have a couple. The Italian Restaurant on deck 11 (above lido buffet) has the no additional charge pasta lunch. Most cruisers won't find it until later in the cruise. The eat they first food they see on embarkation day and never make it up to deck 11. The best way to get there when you board is take the atrium staircase up one deck then head to the back of the ship to the elevators nobody is using because everyone is waiting on the forward elevators. Take the elevator up to deck 11. In the evening if you need to get from the front of the ship to the back of the ship or vice versa really fast and the promenade is clogged up because a show just let out you can go down to deck four and take that empty hallway all the way...or halfway down then come back up. Oh another one. If you get out of a comedy show and need to use the bathroom but there's a line at the ones outside the club just take the stairs down to deck 4 and bathrooms are right there that nobody ever uses.

five. Posted February 7, 2020 #7 Share Posted February 7, 2020 BBQ is often open during embarkation and most won't realize it. It's also open on sea days. There are a bunch of decks that are open at the front of the ship, often called secret decks. (6,7,9,10,11) They are a good place to watch the sail away. Deck 5 is a great place to read and often the hot tubs are not that crowded, at least at the beginning of the week. Sometimes the tide pool is adults only, it seems to vary based on how many kids are on the ship. Everyone knows about serenity, but this one can be less crowded when it is adults only. There is a mystery coin that you can look for from when the ship was commissioned. On the magic it was on deck 14. 12 packs of water are reasonably priced. 12 pack of soda (cans) and 750ml of wine can be carried on It is hard to access, but the tv's do have hdmi, but you might need a universal remote to change inputs on the screen. Download the hub app before you leave, you can pay $5 for texting using the app These are some good places to look: What is your favorite cruise "hack"? Carnival Dream (DR) Staterooms and Ship Features Same class of ship as yours, pretty good review.

My wife loves pasta, but we didn't find this until the last day. That was really the only thing I was set to mention. It has been 2.5 years since we cruised the Dream, but it was our favorite cruise to date. Oh, if you enjoy the giant chess sets, on the Dream it was outside on one of the decks in an area not heavily frequented, so it is easy to miss, but far less busy than when it is out in the Lido deck area. Chess set is located on Deck 5, Promenade Deck. Also deck 5 is where you can walk around the entire perimeter of the ship. 4 hot tubs as well. ✌️ Edited February 7, 2020 by ObstructedView2
Border Granny Posted February 16, 2020 #10 Share Posted February 16, 2020 They have live music in the atrium most of the time. If you just want to listen to the music and don’t need to be down by the bar itself, which is always crowded, there are couches on deck 4 around the atrium. You can see thru the glass railings and are perfect to relax for a while out of the crowds, but still be able to see and hear the musicians .
