The smoking is a problem, for gamblers who smoke there should be a comfortable place for them to go and smoke close to the casino, allowing them to indulge between games, and allowing non smokers to also enjoy the casino.

Unfortunately, that didn't help on the Dawn. I was on for 2 weeks in February. There is an enclosed smoking area just steps away from the casino - the Cigar Bar (apparently it was ok to smoke cigarettes there). The casino still absolutely reeked. I gambled for a couple of hours during the first week, did not gamble at all the second. I told the casino host I wouldn't be gambling any more because it was so smoky in the casino. What was really funny was to hear smokers complaining they couldn't stand the smoke in the Cigar Bar, while they puffed away at the casino bar. I get water from the casino bar because of my casino card. It was torture waiting for the bartender amid all the smoke. By the way, almost all of those seated at the casino bar were not playing.

The Sun was unbearable a month ago.
It was just as much a smokers lounge as a casino.
We spent very little time there; my husband could only tolerate 15-20 minutes.

We enjoy the casinos usually , this was awful.
Also the ceiling above my machine started to rain water ( I hope) down i. Me one night....

So your economic solution is for those who enjoy gambling to boycott the casino because NCL isn't enforcing the smoking by non-players??

That's right, punish those who play by the rules.

Keep rewarding a company that fails to respect it's customers.

Choice is yours.

The Bliss, Encore and Joy have the enclosed casino smoking area for smokers.  It made a huge difference on our Bliss and Encore cruises.   Unless you were walking by as the door to the enclosed area opened, we didn't detect any smoke smell in the casinos.   (Hoping to check out the Joy casino next🤞)

The main casino on the SPIRIT (that went thru dry-dock with complete refurbishment earlier this year) is now NON-Smoking!! They replaced the upstairs (above casino) art gallery with smoking casino. Myself and several others were so shocked when we learnt that and we were so delighted. No more returning to cabin late at night reeking of smoke!

It's a beautiful huge casino on the Spirit.

You did read that the issue revolves around non-players sitting in the casino and smoking.

NON-PLAYERS generate ZERO revenue so......

Pissing off current cruisers can lead to zero revenue so....

This happens on almost every cruise ship.  They need to just have a designated smoking area and cut out the smoking in the casino.  I won't gamble because of the smoking.  I don't mind smokers but I have a heart condition and don't need to be exposed to it.

I think smoking in the casino even if you dont play should be fine but NCL then should for sure improve their ventilation systems there.

I rarely play and in a non smoker and we had a hard time just going by the casino (as many times you just pass there to go from one part of the ship to other) since there was a lot of smoke!
